In accordance with the policy of the UEMS for CME accreditation, certificates of attendance will only be available when delegates complete the evaluation form after the congress. Full information will be sent to delegates by email at the end of the congress.



The cloakroom is located on Level -1, accessed by the stairs and lift in the Registration Area. The cloakroom is free of charge for congress participants. Opening times are in the Facilities Timetable Overview.



The congress app provides access to all congress information.

Search and Install the “Conf2Go” app from the App Store or Google play then enter “ECE 2018” to access all the features of the congress app.

Coffee breaks will be served Monday to Wednesday mornings in the Exhibition Area and Poster Area on Level 0. On Thursday morning, coffee breaks will be served in the session rooms foyer on Level 0.



Congress bags may be collected from the Registration Area.

The Exhibition Area is situated in the session rooms foyer on Level 0. Exhibition opening times are listed in the Facilities Timetable Overview.



The ILAE-Europe Chapter Convention, open to invited representatives only, will take place on Sunday 26th September, 10.00-14.00 in Schubert 4 on Level 1.



The internet centre is located in the Mall on Level 0, adjacent to the poster area.



The official language of the congress is English; translation facilities are not provided.



Lunch bags will be served Monday to Wednesday in the Exhibition Area and Poster Area on Level 0.



The International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) and its agents do not accept any liability whatsoever for death, personal injury, accidents, theft, loss or damage to persons, property or belongings of participants or accompanying persons, either before, during or following the congress, tours or their stay in Vienna. It is therefore recommended that participants arrange their own personal health, accident and travel insurance.



The Registration Area is located in the Entrance Hall on Level 0.
Please note that name badges must be worn at all times.



The Speakers’ Room is located in the Media Lounge on Level 0, adjacent to the Registration Area. Opening times are listed on the Facilities Timetable Overview.

Speakers may review and amend presentations and technical assistance will also be provided in this room.

Please note that all speakers should submit their final PowerPoint presentation(s) to the Speakers’ Room no less than 3 hours in advance of their session. Speakers at early morning sessions are required to submit their material no later than 17.00 on the evening before their session is scheduled.



All delegates are invited to attend the Welcome Ceremony, Sunday 26th August, 18.00-19.00, in Strauss 2. The Ceremony will open with welcomes from the ISOC Co-chairs and the ILAE President. This will be followed by the Awards Ceremony, in which the European awardees will be celebrated with short presentations.

The Ceremony will finish on a distinctly Viennese note: a performance on piano by Dr Klaus Laczika with baritone Dr Thomas Staudinger from the Medical University of Vienna, presenting a programme of works by Franz Schubert, Francesco Paolo Tosti, Fritz Löhner-Beda.

The Ceremony will be followed by a Welcome Reception, to which all delegates are invited.



Free wifi is available in the venue for the duration of the congress to registered delegates.
